Aena S.M.E., S.A. (AENA)

Aena is Spain’s dominant airport operator, managing the large majority of the country’s commercial airports, including Madrid-Barajas and Barcelona-El Prat. Revenue comes from aeronautical charges (landing, passengers, security) and extensive commercial activities such as retail, food and beverage, and car parking. The company also holds interests in airports outside Spain. Its network position makes it the primary gateway operator for Spanish air travel and tourism.
