Bakkafrost is a vertically integrated Atlantic salmon farmer rooted in the Faroe Islands, with operations also in Scotland. It controls much of the value chain from fish feed and farming through processing and sales of fresh and value-added salmon. Cold, sheltered Faroese waters and a high degree of in-house control are central to its production model. Buyers are primarily retailers, foodservice and seafood distributors in Europe, the US and Asia.
