Føroya Banki is a Faroe Islands–based banking and insurance group and one of the islands’ two full-service banks. Founded in 1906 and formerly known as BankNordik, it offers retail and commercial banking, pensions and insurance in the Faroes, with banking services also in Greenland under the Bankivik brand. Its franchise is built on deep local market share in a small North Atlantic economy rather than pan-Nordic scale. Customers are households, SMEs and institutions in the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
