Franco-Nevada acquires and holds royalties and streams that entitle it to a share of production or revenue from operating mines and energy assets without operating the mines itself. Its large diversified portfolio centers on gold but also covers silver, other metals and oil and gas, primarily in the Americas and Australia. Mining operators obtain upfront capital through these arrangements while the company provides investors with commodity price exposure and cash flow from production at low operating cost.
